Tokyo Gendai, Yokohama

Despite the tendency of many art enthusiasts to take a break from attending events during the summer following Art Basel, Art Assembly is embarking on a risky venture by launching a new fair called Tokyo Gendai in early July. The fair, located at a convention center in Yokohama and will be led by Eri Takane, aims to attract 80 to 100 exhibitors. The fair’s success will serve as a significant indicator of the robustness of Japan’s art market compared to those of other cities such as Seoul, Taipei, Singapore, and Hong Kong, which has long been considered a prominent player in the Asian art scene.Location: Pacifico Yokohama.
