Julia Díaz was born in San Salvador, El Salvador, in 1946 and passed away in 1988. She was a painter and printmaker associated with the Nueva Sensibilidad movement, which sought to redefine the Salvadoran identity through art. Her works often depicted everyday life in El Salvador, and she was known for using vibrant colors and strong lines.
