Gego “Gertrud Goldschmidt“ Measuring Infinity” this exhibition is offering a fully integrated view of the Venezuelan artist and her distinctive approach to the language of abstraction through her organic forms, linear structures, spatial investigations in two- and three-dimensional works between line, space, and volume. Gego’s practice in the related fields of architecture, design, and teaching complemented those investigations. Gego is one of the most significant artists to emerge from Latin America during the second half of the twentieth century departing from key transnational art movements such as geometric abstraction and kinetic art.
