DISCOVER THE HEART OF MIAMI’S ART AND CULTURE AT MIAMI WORLDCENTER

Miami Worldcenter, a 27-acre mixed-use development, is transforming Downtown Miami with a captivating blend of luxury, lifestyle, and art. Often described as a “city within a city,” Miami Worldcenter serves as a destination for art and culture, reinventing urban living. You are invited to explore this iconic space through a curated walking tour of Miami Worldcenter’s impressive $5 million public art collection—an open-air museum featuring stunning works by renowned local and international artists.

This one-hour guided tour, led by the developers and art curatorial team of Miami Worldcenter, offers an immersive journey through the complex’s art installations. The curators, including international art dealer Jeffrey Deitch and the Miami art collective PRIMARY, have selected large-scale murals, sculptures, and installations that reflect Miami’s vibrant energy and multicultural heritage. Featured artists include Nina Chanel Abney, Nick Cave, Franz Ackermann, Hernan Bas, Viktor El-Saieh, Zadok Ben David, Woody De Othello, Serge Toussaint, and Trenton Doyle Hancock. Each piece tells a unique story, highlighting themes of diversity, resilience, and the powerful influence of both local and international cultures in Miami.

As you walk through Miami Worldcenter, you’ll encounter corridors filled with art: vibrant murals, whimsical sculptures that enhance the cityscape, and thought-provoking installations that invite reflection and participation. This tour emphasizes an artistic and community-based experience in Miami’s international cultural center.

The walking tour is scheduled to coincide with Art Basel Miami 2024, a major event that attracts art lovers, collectors, and creators from around the world. Art Basel Miami 2024 will feature 283 galleries from 34 countries, with nearly two-thirds of the exhibitors coming from the Americas. The event promises a dynamic exchange of artistic expression, showcasing perspectives from the United States, Canada, Central America, and South America, including voices from Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Colombia, Guatemala, Peru, and Uruguay.

Participating in the Miami Worldcenter walking tour is a perfect complement to your Art Basel experience. This tour will connect you to Miami through the eyes of some of the most thought-provoking artists of our time, whether you are an art lover, resident, or visitor. You will gain insights into the purpose of Miami Worldcenter, the art shaping the city, and the global story conveyed through its art collection.
