ABSTRACT SCULPTURE

Germán Botero´s ”Orchid” abstract sculpture, made by adding small modules that define or draw the void, geometry where the line and not the plane dominates, the space more than the form, combined with its organic symbology, the fragility of the flower with the solidity of aluminum. A sculpture in which compositional genius is integrated with the technical brilliance of material realization.

He has installed monumental works in Seoul (South Korea), Shanghai, Beijing, Changchun (People’s Republic of China), in the Mayan region of Chetumal (Mexico), San Juan de Puerto Rico, Montreal (Canada), Resistencia (Argentina) and in Cuba. Now at the University of la Sabana, Bogotá, Colombia.
