Bernardo Ortiz (Colombia) Examines the complex relations

The Colombian artist Bernardo Ortiz (Bogota, 1972) examines the complex relations that exist between image and text through works that combine installation, drawing, writing and philosophy.

He often uses hard pencils on surfaces made of fabric or paper, with which he prints delicate strokes and lines. Some are made with pencil and some with thin lines of oil painting and varnish, creating minimalist projects with a personal poetic discourse.
